Dr. Lee specializes in root canal treatments

As a board-certified endodontist and award-winning graduate of NYU’s College of Dentistry, Dr. Jamie Y. Lee specializes in root canal treatments — but it’s her passion for getting to know all kinds of people that drives her personal and professional pursuits.

Dr. Lee grew up in Stony Brook, Long Island and also lived in Oregon, Georgia and Korea before returning to New York to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Master of Science degree from New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, and then returned to NYU for a postdoctoral specialty residency in endodontics.

Dr. Lee provides evidence-based, customized care

After graduation, Dr. Lee chose to pursue certification from the American Board of Endodontics. She completed a voluntary process of written, oral and case history examinations that together demonstrate her exceptional knowledge, skills and expertise in diagnosing and performing complex root canal treatment to preserve patients’ natural teeth and alleviate pain.

Dr. Lee brings evidence-based, customized care to patients in her Manhattan endodontics practice. She prides herself on taking plenty of time to get to know each person individually and to fully understand their dental history, pain history and current needs before creating a personalized treatment plan. She and her staff work hard to put every patient at ease and to ensure they are in good hands before, during and after treatment.

Dr. Lee loves connecting with new people and cultures

Living in different parts of the world fostered in Dr. Lee a love of travel and an interest in experiencing the sights, sounds, flavors and perspectives of different cultures. She has traveled extensively, including multiple outreach trips to bring root canal treatment to patients in remote areas of Mexico and Ecuador. She loves the opportunities that New York offers to connect with new people and cultures.

When she is not performing root canals, Dr. Lee finds balance away from the microscope by hitting the golf course and soaking in the beauty of wide-open landscapes. She’s also an avid runner who has already conquered Berlin, Chicago and two New York City marathons – and now she’s training for London! Her newest passion is classical music, and she can often be spotted at Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall, especially when her favorite violinist, Maxim Vengerov, is performing. On top of all that, Dr. Lee is a dedicated wine enthusiast (or oenophile, if we’re being fancy), with two advanced certifications – She loves how a great bottle of wine brings people together. And of course, true to her deep-rooted Korean culture, she never skips her meticulous skincare routine, ensuring that her glow matches her vibrant lifestyle!
